Proper Installation for OBS Studio and Elgato Steam Deck in Windows 10

If you already have OBS Studio installed prior to installing Elgato Stream Deck, no additional steps should be needed.

To confirm, check that the Elgato Stream Deck Plugin is visible in the Tools menu in OBS Studio.

Also make sure that the Plugin's version number is the same as the Elgato Stream Deck version number, which can be found in the Elgato Stream Deck Preferences window.

In the case of different version numbers, please re-install Elgato Stream Deck.

If the Elgato Stream Deck Plugin does not appear, follow these steps:

• Make sure you are running OBS Studio 64-bit 19.0.3 or later. Elgato Stream Deck does not work with OBS Classic or OBS Studio 32-bit.

• Make sure OBS Studio is installed to the default file directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio). The Elgato Stream Deck will not install otherwise.

• If you downloaded OBS Studio after downloading Elgato Stream Deck, please re-install Elgato Stream Deck.
